Chiropractic does more than relieve symptoms.  Studies have shown that people under chiropractic care have been found to feel improvements to their:

  • Physical State
  • Mental/Emotional State
  • Life Enjoyment
  • Overall quality of life

A 1987 Italian study of 17,142 patients conducted by medical physicians and chiropractors concluded

·          “…our sample population treated with chiropractic for at least two years showed that this treatment could lead to a 75-55% reduction in the number of daily absences from work and could cut down the number of hospitalized patients by 87.60% compared with other currently used forms of treatment (pharmacological, physiotherapy, surgical)”

·         "A most meaningful indicator of the effectiveness of chiropractic is the improvement it produces in the quality of life, not only because of its curative effect but also thanks to its preventative and rehabilitative functions".

The following excerpts from a Canadian government commissioned study indicate the cost effectiveness of chiropractic treatment over standard medical treatment:

  • "The overwhelming body of evidence shows that chiropractic management of low-back pain is more cost effective than medical management, and that many medical therapies are of questionable validity or are clearly inadequate ... Chiropractic manipulation is safer than medical management of low-back pain."

·         "There would be highly significant cost savings if more management of low-back pain was transferred from physicians to chiropractors... Users of chiropractic care have substantially lower health care costs, especially inpatient costs, than those who use medical care only."
